My Strange Finds Summer Edition

Good Evening My Friends,

I hope those of you in Florence's path are ok. Tonight I'll be showing off some of My Strange Finds from the last maybe few months.

My first strange find is this watch I found hanging in a tree outside Walmart back sometime in the Summer. It was something that was puzzling and probably made me smile:

Time flying... er hanging.
I spent a lot of time outside this Summer and apparently nature loved it:
Nature's Heart
I was out doing laundry the other night and I noticed the "P" and "S" stickers of the push sign were gone, leaving behind a message that many probably feel when it's laundry day:
This is how I feel about my day sometimes...
Wednesday Fangirl and I were at the Outlet Mall in Asheville where I first noticed this fire and water fountain:
I looked at Fangirl and was like "If you had a long enough stick with a marshmallow on it... Yeah this isn't a strange find I guess, but it is cool.

I ended up coming across a few strange finds Wednesday as well:

1. ZomBee Bloody Bites: I saw these creepy cute things at the Dollar Tree in the same Outlet Mall. Each candy comes with glow in the dark fangs and watermelon flavored blood. I know it's probably gross and messy, but I thought it was awesome!

2. Bullfog SNOT: We stopped by this store we hadn't seen before called Hobbytown, and I saw this bottle of green stuff I think if used on model's tires.

3. Another Bullsh*t Night in Suck City: A Memoir- I saw this book by Nick Flynn on a bookshelf at a Goodwill. At first I'm like that's some name for your memoir, then I'm like wait no I've probably had days like that.

I hope you guys have a good weekend, those in Florence's path stay safe, and may God bless you all!

My Strange Finds: Adventures in the Cold

It's a Strange Saturday Friends,

Well it's only strange cause I'm doing a My Strange Finds post today. The other day Fangirl and I headed out in the snow, which was gone by the time we got back, so nothing to major.  On our journey we came across some interesting things:

1. I noticed at one store a book called How to Deal with Difficult People. I pretty sure it's this one by Paul Friedman. I feel like we all need instructions for this, especially those with jobs where they have to deal with people daily.

2. I'd gone back in the games and kids section when I noticed there was Fullmetal Alchemist mangas and a DVD... IN THE KIDS SECTION! I'm like "Man if parents get that for their kids and don't realize and they all sit to watch it.... What a surprise." Fangirl assures me the parents will check the rating. You know there's people out there who probably don't!

Asheville Mural

3. Came across two geeky cars that collectively represented the  Legend of Zelda, The Walking Dead, Thunder Cats, and Doctor Who fandoms.

4. We also come across three turkeys in a populated area, something I've never seen, but maybe they wanted a bike from the bike shop, or a nice dress.

5. In Asheville I saw a billboard for I guess a dental place with a bearded tooth fairy, complete with a ballerina getup. I thought what a strange type of tooth fairy  till I remembered this is Asheville, of which I probably heard a couple of beard jokes pertaining to, so I'm like no that'd be this city's tooth fairy.

6. At a movie venue we went to above the entrance to the bathrooms was a sign near the ducts that had a ninja on it saying it was a ninja exit. I loved it, I mean come on I am the Ninja Writer, but yes made me smile.

Well that is some of my strange finds for this post. Hope you have a good weekend friends and May God Bless You!

My Strange Finds: Holiday Left Overs

Hello My Friends,

As I go out in the world be it to the doctor's office, grocery stores, or a thrift shop, I will some times come across strange and/or interesting finds that just needs sharing with my peeps. There's actually a theme with this strange finds Holiday Lefts Overs. These are either things I saw during the holidays I hadn't got to share, or they are things found from Christmas past.

First up is a decorated door I came across in my doctor's office during the holidays. They'd recently moved to this big space and the ladies that work there each got to decorate a door and then it'd be decided who was the winner. I don't know who one, but I found this door hilarious:

After the New Year Fangirl and I decided to have a localized outing. We hit up this Italian restaurant that took over an empty space that I know at one point was a pizza place my sister worked at with a good portion of our family. We then hit up the thrift stores. It was in a Goodwill I found these cute cork trees:

This one was all ready for Christmas.

This one was probably made by the same person, but I don't know if it wasn't finished or left as is to show of the cork designs. I thought it was cool the corks come from wine that was made by the Biltmore Estate Winery.

Then there was this carousel that might be home made, it looks like someone used a wooden embroidery hoop for the top there. If it is homemade it's a lovely piece of work.

Well we took care of those holiday left overs. I hope you've recovered from your holiday shenanigans and are enjoying the new year. God bless you guys!
