30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 30

Blessed Good Friday my friends,

On this last day of the Writing Challenge they want me to to write "Your highs and lows for this month."
Highs- Getting to see a friend I hadn't seen in a while, making my Mom happy with a choice I made, and completing all days of this thing.
Lows- Sleep messed up, my anxiety, Depression, and OCD flaring up real bad.

I really glad this challenge is done, it's tiring trying to make blogs post for each day on top of regular blogging. I hope you have a good weekend. May you have a good weekend and for those of you that celebrate, a blessed Easter. God Bless You!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 29

We're in the final two days of the writing challenge, not sorry to see this almost over. They are asking me: "What are your goals for the next 30 days?"

I don't even know what I'm doing tomorrow most the time. I know I'm gonna celebrate Easter and my Dad's birthday, but no big goals for me, except trying to combat my mental illnesses.

I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your week friends, God Bless You!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 28

Happy Hump Day friends,

This writing challenge now challenges me to :"Post five things that make you laugh-out-loud." Which was very difficult to think of since I'm dealing with some depression, and anxiety, issues here lately...

2. The pets, especially Mousey, have had me cracking up.

3. This Tumblr I found [Bleep] My Players Say. Love my censoring?

4. The antics of Youtubers.

5. My favorite comedians: Jeff Dunham and Fluffy!

Hope you all find things that make you laugh this week friends. God bless you!

Speaking of health I'm postponing the Musical Moments post I was gonna do this week, cause I'm not feeling 100%. I hope you have a good Holy Week my friends, and may God Bless You.

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 25

Blessed Sunday my friends,

On this post of the writing challenge I was asked to: "Think of any word. Search it on google images. Write something inspired by the 11th image." My word was "wanderlust" and my image was the first one on this link.

She gathered her pack
The last bits of her life
Outside waits her truck and a camper
Both old but still travel ready
She climbs in the cab
She's been waiting for this day forever
To see the land
To live on the road
Yes the living would be tight and sparse
But the tales she's have tell at the end of the journey
She pulls out an old mix tape marked "Travel Mix"
And pushes it into the tape deck
As the first strains poured out of the speakers
She turned her wheels to the west
Ready to heed the call of the open road

Have a blessed day friends and may God bless you!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 24

Saturday salutations friends,

Today on the writing challenge I am to: "Write about a lesson you've learned the hard way." My lesson is: Never stick your head over a hot frying pan with grease.

When I was little my Mom was cooking bacon or eggs  and I decided to lean in and look at the food cooking. Mom tells me not to stick my head over that, and as she's saying it some grease popped in the pan, sending some into the air, and  hit me in the forehead. I had a nice grease burn mark on my head for awhile afterward. To this day I'm careful, if not over cautious, when there's frying with grease going on.

So that's the lesson for the day friends. Beware a hot greased pan, and may God Bless you this weekend!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 23

It's another Friday friends,

Plus time for the 23rd day of this writing challenge. Today I need to write "A letter to someone, anyone." I think I'll pen one to an old middle school Spanish class student teacher.

Dear Senorita Coffey,

I hope and pray your well. I actually don't know if your still a Senorita Coffey or you've gotten married, but this name's all I got. I do hope you've found happiness in your life, whatever the path has been.

I want to thank you for your encouraging words in you goodbye letter. I was touched you made one for each of us. I actually kept the letter in my wallet for a while. I found those words inspiring. I still do. Even though my dreams have changed since we last met. Even though I haven't read it in some time, it's probably among these papers waiting to be scrap booked, your kind encouraging thoughts still touch my heart. I don't know why maybe it's the energy you put into it when you wrote them that still fuels the dreamer in me.

I hope your own dreams and wishes have come to pass, and maybe fate will allow our paths to cross again.
                                                                                        Always your student

So friends do you have someone whose words or actions have inspired you over the years. I hope your weekend is good and may God bless you.

The Ninja Writer's Library: The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen

Thank goodness it's Friday friends,

Today we are going to dive back into the Ninja Writer's Library. Today's book The Girl Who Chased the Moon is by an author who is actually from my region, Sarah Addison Allen. I love Allen's writing style. For all the books I've read by her she takes what could be an average small town you'd find around here and adds a surreal elements to it or the characters. This tale is no different. We have an orphaned teen moving in with the Grandpa she didn't know about and is having to unravel her deceased Mom's past as well as some town secrets, some quite surreal.

Allen also seems to include food in a good portion of her books. I didn't know whether to run out and buy some BBQ or make a cake after reading this. I mean you try reading about a town where the very air smells like BBQ and see how long it takes you to get a craving. Now I don't know if this is a supernatural phenomenon or the fact the town has so many BBQ joints in town.
I also loved they included the full moon names in the book, at least the digital I don't know about the physical version, she does provide a link to a PDF list on her site. I mean I know like the Hunter's and Harvest Moons, but I didn't know the others. Actually as a bit of trivia for you guys I read the majority of this book during the Full Worm Moon.

I actually encourage you guys to head over to this book's page on the author's site. It's got recipes and information surrounding the book, plus you can kinda tour the town of Mullaby.
A very good book, the ending left you wanting to know more of the story, so I hope she decides to make a sequel to it.

I hope you weekend is a good one friends, read lots of books, and may God Bless You!

St. Patrick's Day 2018

 Happy frozen Thursday friends,

This past Saturday was St. Patrick's Day. As I promised I was gonna give you the skinny on the holiday so here it is.

Artsy Fartsy Time: Shamrock Card
I didn't get too artsy with my St. Patrick's giftings. I got some St. Patrick's Day Necklaces from Dollar Tree® and decided to make Shamrock cards. I got a pack of Hot Neon Colors construction paper, it's apparently the only paper I could find with green in it. I cut out a shamrock pattern then followed it on the green. I folded it in half, then I used the Irish toasts and blessings I found on Sassy Cat's St. Patrick's Day Page on the inside, I kinda miss the days of these old webpages,  and a special message for whoever I was making it for. I decorated the front of the card using some St. Patrick's Day Stickers from Dollar Tree®.

Misadventures in Cooking: St. Patrick's Day Supper

Besides watching Disney Channel's Luck of the Irish, we made a Irish inspired meal. While I don't know how Irish this meal actually is in recent years I try to spearhead a St. Patrick's Day meal for my family. First up my Mom did most the work in the Colcannon, which was inspired by Diane's Colcannon recipe,  we never put cabbage in it, and we didn't have bacon, but we we did have bacon grease to cook the onions in.
Onions cooking on the stove is heavenly

Colcannon!
Mom decided we needed some green for out meal so we cooked some beans:

Our meat was a simple  Bristol Brand cooked ham we microwaved:

This makes my third year attempting Brennan's Irish Soda Bread. This year I not only cut back the cooking time, but split the dough into two loaves. this year I can say I was successful, little crusty on the outside, but it wasn't complete over or under cooked.

A beautiful meal!

Can't forget Momma's Cake!
I hope those you that celebrate had a good St. Patrick's Day, keep warm, and may God bless you!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 20

It another Tuesday friends,

Today in the writing challenge I am to: "Post about three celebrity crushes." Well I don't usually talk my celebrity crushes, but I'll chat some of my old ones from yesteryear.

1. David Yost- When all the girls were a flutter of David Jason Frank, who played Tommy on Power Rangers, I was crushing on David Yost who played Billy. You know the instance were your not sure if it's the actor or the character you like I think I was leaning more toward the character. Though let me note Tommy is my ultimate favorite Ranger.

2.Johnathan Bradis- Now in the do you like the character or the actor this was leaning more toward the actor. I first discovered him on Seaquest DSV, then saw him in Ladybugs, The Neverending Story 2, and that movie he did with Chuck Norris. I was so sad to discover his passing years ago.

3. Bryan White-  This is one of my favorite singers. I love his music still to this day, and as a teen I was crushing on him. I keep thinking about that scene from Srek 2 when the ugly stepsister is describing Charming's handsomeness and how his face was carved by angels when I think Bryan White, especially back in the 90's, though I can't deny he's still a handsome bloke.

Okay that's another look into my least often discussed subjects. I hope you have a good day, may you find something to give your heart a flutter and may God Bless You!

Musical Moment: A Cinderella Story Soundtrack

Happy Monday Friends,
It's time to jump back into the music. I'm going to be cruising along through my discs in alphabetical order for the most part. Well this week it's the soundtrack to A Cinderella Story. Yes you all find this movie probably dorky, but I enjoy this movie and the soundtrack.

Artist: Various
Album: A Cinderella Story Original Soundtrack
Released: 2004

Cover:  It's a white background with Chad Michael Murray given Hilary Duff a piggy back ride. He's in his character Austin's regular outfit will Duff is in Sam's ball out fit wearing pink  Converse. The title is in various blues doing this ombre kind of thing.

Booklet: The background is in a light blue with stars. The song titles and info is written in black inside curved edged squares, the Hollywood Records logo is in black and white. Photos are in the same shape outlined in white some taken for the movie some that were taken on the set, but not from the movie itself. There's a page plugging Hilary Duff's Metamorphosis album, the words are white written in a light blue curved edge square, it's surrounded by white. In gold tones is Duff's The Girl Can Rock DVD. There's a pic of I think of the DVD cover in a curved edge rectangle. Duff's name in in bold white outlined in brown. The DVD name is a brown outlined font. Everything else is black lettering. The back page is a favorite image of mine. It's that light blue starry background with and oval picture of duff in her ball gown against a white background holding the castle snow globe from the opening of the movie. The writing on the page is in white.

Back Cover:
The outside back is all white, black lettering for the artist and song list and Duff in Sam's ball outfit. Inside back cover is white with Sam's tiara sitting on her pink Converse.

The Disk: It's continuing the blue and stars theme. CD title us in white with black shadowing. The rest of the lettering and label logo is in a metallic silver.

The Music:

Our Lips Are Sealed- (Written by Jane Wiedlin and Terence Hall/ Sung by Hilary and Haylie Duff) according to the song's Wikipedia page Wiedlin was the Go-Go's guitarist (they'd be the first to record the song, and Hall sang for Fun Boy Three who recorded their own version of this song later. Well the Duff sisters jam it up for this soundtrack. I love this song. One of my favorites on the album. I also love the sweet ride in the video, I think it's the cars Sam cruises in in the movie. Actually I think some things they did for this video was a nod to the Go-Go's video (I mean come on in both videos there's a nice old ride, and playing in a fountain).

Anywhere But Here- (Written by Jamer Marr, Wendy Page, and Chinco Bennett/ Sung by Hilary Duff ) She sings of what her love has done for her and how she'd rather not be anywhere else. Didn't Buffy and her friends play a game by a similar name somewhere during the first three seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where they imagined they were somewhere else and who they were with?

The Best Day of My Life- (Written by David Katz, Robert Palmer, and Lindy Robbins/ Sung by Jesse McCartney) We have a tale of a guy having a normal day that turned into an awesome one when he met the most amazing girl, who apparently has expensive taste in shoes and facial features that can be compare to a famous songstress.

Girl Can Rock- (Written by Charlie Midnight and Denny Weston Jr/ Sung by Hilary Duff) It's a rockish tune about how "the girl can rock". She speaks how the music is apart of her and she's up for wherever it takes her, that it's not just a boys game.

Now You Know- (Written by Kara DioGuardi, Charlton Pettus, and Michelle Lewis/ Sung by Hilary Duff) A girl reveals to someone she's fallen in love with them and she's hoping they don't turn away from her after learning this truth.

One in This World- (Written by Diane Warren/ Sung by Haylie Duff) Warren actually has  a lot of songs I like has been written by this woman, so we'll probably be hearing from her again. This particular song ia about finding that one person meant for you among all the others out there.

Crash World- (Written by Desmond Child, Andreas Carlsson, and Julian Bunetta/ Sung by Hilary Duff) Here we are dealing with the alien feelings one feels when a relationship fizzles out. She says she in some kind of bad alternate universe, and the opening of this song makes you feel like you have entered some strange dark world. Plus I think my PC took took the crash in the title literally cause as I went to listen to this song everything starts bugging out.

To Make You Feel My Love- (Written by Bob Dylan/ Sung by Josh Kelley)  Wikipedia says Dylan released it on his 1997 album Time Out of Mind album. This guy is trying to win over someone by telling them all they'd do to get them to feel the love they have for them.

Sympathy- (Written by John Rzeznik/Sung by the Goo Goo Dolls) As best as I can figure is we have a man finding someone being sympathetic strange, offering an apology, and realizing he's been chasing after things he didn't need to when everything he's wanted has be there.

Friend- (Written by Kaitlyn Harner and Johnny Douglas/Sung by Kaitlyn) A song about well a friend. What the singer likes about them and what it takes to be their friend. Every time I hear this song I can't help thinking of this one time in the mall when my friends and me attempted to take a picture of all of us in the photo booth and the settings were off so none of us could be in the pic, and my friend deciding she wasn't gonna waste her money and ended up getting pics of just her hand giving the bird... if that wasn't bad enough they put the pic up on the outside screens till they get printed and I saw a security guard nearby. I just turned looked like I was window shopping and was like "I don't know this person". No the security guard didn't see the obscenity on the screen, so she was in the clear.

Beautiful Soul (Cinderella Mix)- (Written by Andy Dodd and Adam Watts/ Sung by Jesse McCartney) A guy professing his heart to the only girl he wants cause she's more than looks, her soul is something amazing too. Another of my top favorite songs on this album.

I'll Be- (Written and sung by Edwin McCain) the singer is describing this amazing person in his life and everything he'll be for them. This was used for the solo moment between Austin and Sam at the ball.

Fallen- (Written by Richard Shelton, Kevin Veney, Loren Hill, Leonard Huggins, Luis Bonfa, and Maria Toledo/ Sung by May)  Basically a song about falling in love with someone. I don't know why, but compared to the rest of the songs on the album this song seems to have a different feel, almost like it's out of place I don't know why. I mean it's not a bad song, but just seems like it's the odd song out.

First Day of the Rest of Our Lives- (Written by Michael Herrera/ Sung by MxPx) I feel like this is a song that could take place the first day after graduation. The world's open and your prepping to achieve your dreams. How your already missing someone and hoping to find them again. Everytime I hear this song I can't help of thing of one of the opening credit sequences to Buffy the Vampire Slayer that has a cut of one of the girl's dancing I feel like their moves would work for this song.

Extra Bits: On the CD-Rom is a Hollywood Records screen that's make up of  blues and greys with a link to an online page that's pink and white thanking us for our cd purchase. There's a pic of Hilary Duff with links to her site and some other things and merchandise related to her some of it  I think is mentioned in the booklet. The soundtrack mane is the same as on the cover, and some of the lettering is in blue and black as well.
It came with a paper with a code to download a bonus track, but I didn't have a computer back then so missed out on that.

I hope you have good jams playing this week friends, may God bless you.

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 19

Monday greetings friends,

The writing challenge demands me to : "Discuss your first love." Does this include the innocent puppy loves cause that's all I got for ya.
When I was in Kindergarten their was was a boy in my class who also rode my bus. I guess you can say he was my first friend. He had a little crush on me I believe cause he'd bring me like a envelope with picture of flowers he'd cut from magazines. One time we were sitting in the auditorium and he decided to kiss me on the cheek, which a mother's helper saw him do. A little bit later as we were waiting in a line in the hall near the class her gave me another cheek kiss. The teacher caught him that time, she said something, but the mother's helper from before is like "What it's cute". The next school year he was gone, I never knew what became of him. I hope life has been good to him and I hope he still brings his girl , or if he's gay/bi his dude, flowers.

Well that's my first love. Not flashy or anything, but it was still sweet and he brought me flowers. ^^ <3. May you all find the love you seek. God bless you friends!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 18

Good Sunday to you my friends,

This writing challenge now wants me to "Post 30 facts about yourself." *Warning this will be a long one* They should have put this one on the 30th day. It'd totally worked. Well I'll see what I can throw at you guys and maybe give some things you didn't know.

1. I have two different kind's of ears- One of my ear is an attached lobe, and the other is a free earlobe. I discovered this interesting fact after we'd been study hereditary traits in science class sometime when I was in middle school. I was noticing what kind of ears a singer had in a picture I was looking at and got curious what kind of ears I had and sought. apparently I got one of each of my parents ears.

2. I had to have speech therapy- In elementary school I remember every so often a kind woman would take me out of class and read to me, then later on she brought out flash cards on it, apparently I was having trouble I'd say teef instead of teeth, something I still catch myself doing off and on even all these years later. I think there may have been issues with S's and X's getting mixed up cause I remember the word Taxi coming up a lot. Just to prove how oblivious I was to my situation I don't think I even knew I was in speech therapy till the day she gave me my graduation certificate from therapy. Then my regular teacher decided to announce to the whole class the two kids who graduated from speech therapy!

3. I'm allergic to amoxicillin- I had tonsillitis so much as a kid, yet I managed to keep the tonsils. They use to give me amoxicillin, but eventually they gave it to me and I broke out in a rash and had to start taking this nasty crap you had to guzzle so much water with.

4. I was born a month late- Due to error in calculation by the doctor my parents went to they had no clue that I was a month over due until I think I was born.

5. I can't swim- I have a fear of drowning which is one of the reasons I never learned to swim. It's a conundrum given that the very thing that could prevent my drowning I can't learn cosuse of my fear.

6. My favorite fairy tale is Cinderella- Why I don't know, I just feel drawn to the story. Though I'm defiantly not a wait around for my man to come save me kind of girl, and the stepmom and sister would be locked in the pantry while I ran off to the ball, just saying.

7. One of my nicknames as a little kid was Dink

8. The moniker I had in high school was Diva- I'm sure I've mentioned here I use to want to be a singer. I chose the nickname I think mainly because I had aspirations to be successful enough to be on VH1 Divas special one day. But at some point maybe after college when my dreams changed and diva was more known by it's original meaning, but to me the word still invoked that time of my life when the insane seemed possible and it was something I wanted to hold on to. I decided to turn it into an acronym that was made up of word/sayings that was representative of who I am/what I believe in: D- Dream(er) I- Imagination and Inspire  V- Variety is the spice of life A- Artistic

9. I have and associate degree (I think that's the right term) in Film and Video Production Technology

10. I have Cherokee blood- I've been told my great great great grandmother was 1/2 Cherokee

11. I've been told I'm German- I've been told I'm German via my maternal grandfather, and apparently according to a book they have. But I've yet to get back to the German in my research yet.

12. I use to take voice lessons with my friend Captain- It only lasted a few months, but I  enjoyed it

13. I'm the eldest of two kids

14. I was an honors English student in high school

15. Math is probably my worst subject in all my schooling

16. Orion is my favorite constellation

17.I've accidentally shoved a nail into my foot... twice

18. My shorts fell down one time when I was on a hill overlooking a major interstate

19. My senior year I was a librarian's assistant.

20. It was as I walked into my librarian assistant period I learned about 9/11

21. My first massive anxiety spell was the summer before my 5th grade year.

22. I represent my school's forth grade class in an oratorical contest

23. I let a pretty audible fart one of my first days of kindergarten and I thought my teacher was going to have a heart attack. In my defense I didn't know you shouldn't do that in public.

24. A few days out of the womb I let a loud fart in hearing distance of my cousin who said "Yep she's a Hanner." (Hanner is backwoods lingo for Hannah).

25. My favorite color is Blue

26. My favorite shade of Blue is Sky Blue

27. I didn't have Chinese food till I was or almost in my 20's

28. My first car was a 1986 T- Top Camaro that my sister named Peggy Sue

29. My middle name came from my Mom's middle name, which she got from my Grandpa's first name

30. I signed up to try and be homecoming queen- I didn't even make it out of my homeroom class vote, though I have the joy in knowing one person besides me voted for me

Whoa I did it! My brain hurts now. Have a good Sunday friends may God bless you!

Pi Day Squirrels

Top of the morning to you friends,

Though technically it's not morning any more, but hey it's St. Patrick's Day. Right now I'm consuming some green Hostess® Snoballs® I just got surprised with and jamming to my St. Patrick's playlist. I also got surprised with a Light Up necklace from Wal-Mart and  let me tell you folks you turn this on you don't need a flash light. I've done distributed the stuff I made/bought for everyone and tonight I'll be making our Irishish themed dinner. I''ll do a special post on all that next week.

For this post I'll be talking about things that happened on that mathematical holiday Pi Day. First off no we did not eat a squirrel pie. The only thing I consumed to commemorate the day was a round cookie. Thing you got to know about my family is we still rely on wood for our heat every year. This year we've had to gather up wood every few days instead the big fall wood gather we have cause of my my Dad's back problem's, apparently it's something that's flared up due to I think breaking his back at some point in his life. Well on Pi Day he was looking at a tree that had a squirrel's nest which he was pretty sure was an old one, he even went as far as grab a great vine hanging near it and shaking it up against it, and there was no signs of life so he figured it was safe. So he cuts it down, and when he cut the chainsaw off he hears squeaking noises coming from the nest. He looks and to his dismay, and something he didn't expect this time of year, was three baby squirrels. By a miracle of God not only had they all managed to survive the nest falling, and not be crushed by the tree. We gathered them into a basket with a towel in it, and sought out advice of what to do. Fangirl kindly provided us with this link from our local nature center with what to do. I wish I could tell you guys we were ably to reunite Momma and her young ones, but this was not the case. We did as the page said and called our local rehabilitator. So I at least know they are in good hands, even if  it's not their Mom who we didn't hear from until I think the next day. She says they were probably around a month old, which meant they came along during that warm spell we had and nature went into Spring mode. We were reassured by the woman she would probably have another litter by fall, it eases the sadness over it a bit, but still not entirely. Even though we knew them briefly they still managed to worm their way into our hearts.

I got a pic before they moved onto their new home
I do know they were two boys and a girl. So I dubbed the boys Einstein, since they were found on his birthday, and Lumberjack, given the nature they were found and their future tree living, and the girl I call Pi cause well Pi day.

I hope you have a good St. Patrick's Day my friends. May God bless you all.

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 17

Happy St. Patrick's Day friends,

Ok this thing wants me to: "Post about your Zodiac sign, and whether or not it fits you." Now I don't thoroughly believe in Zodiac and stars being the deciding factors in who your are and your future, but I will not deny sometimes it does peg you.

Well I'm a Gemini and according to this site some of the traits include being curious, nervous, liking books, music, chatting. Don't like being alone, confined or repetitions. I find these to be true on some levels I tend to have curious nature, and thanks to the anxiety I do tend to be nervous, and I do love reading and listening to music, got my St. Patrick's Day playlist going as we speak... err type. Depending on my mood and the situation I am chatty, and yes doing the same thing over and over drives me batty

It also says we are like have two minds in one body. Always looking for the other half. I don''t know about the other half seeking given Fangirl and me  are like two halves of a brain, I pity our significant others should we get blessed cause they'll be dealing with a Cory and Shawn of Boy Meets World type of friendship, well maybe we'll find our Topangas (except in a dude form). As for the two minds thing this is true. I feel like I have a lot of dueling thing in my life: my moods I'm either a happy chatty optimistic person or a moody silent type. Even my tastes are duel like I like vintage things of bygone eras yet also some sleek modern toys. I like being with people and I like being alone. I'm a coin peoples.

It also says we'd make good artists, writers, and journalists, looks around this blog. Well I don't know how much this qualifies me as a writer, but hey I am writing, along with the occasional poem.
We have a childish innocence about us and loving. Yes I can be a big kid, but having a young spirit I feel keeps you young in some aspects. I am loving, despite being irritable at times and frustrated with loved ones to the testing of the bonds of loved at times, I still love people with my big ole heart.

Well friends I hope the luck of the Irish is with you today, don't forget your green, and may God always bless you!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 16

Happy Friday friends,

The 16th day's writing challenge prompt "Something that you miss."

Well of course there's people I miss who've passed on. People I miss being nearby who have moved away and I don't get to see as regularly as I use to. I miss places/businesses that no longer exist. I miss being in school a times, not the being in class so much as some of the things from the time period, and the social aspects, and just the feelings I had about life. Trust me I really have no aspirations to be a teenager again.

I hope you all have a good weekend and may God bless you.

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 14

Happy Pi Day friends,

The writing challenge wants me to: "Post your favorite movies you never get tired of watching."

1. Ghostbusters- Any of the movies in this franchise I enjoy. It's a very special one to me mostly due to the fact we share a birth week.

2. Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium - I want there to be a real magical toy store... maybe a geek equivalent.

Uh I'm sure there's more than these two, but I can't think of them right now. I hope you guys have a good day, eat pie, and God Bless You.

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 13

Tis Tuesday friends,

Just means it's day 13 of this writing challenge, really getting tired of writing that. Today they pose the question "What are you excited about?"

Well kinda excited about getting some frustrations/guilt off my chest today, though kinda feeling a bit anxiety over it too. I also got to see one of my soul sisters I hadn't seen in ages. Also excited about something I decided to do that made my family happy.

Well that's enough excitement for the day I think. I hope you all have a good night and may God bless you.

1. Family

2. Friends

3. Firewood

4. Food for our table

5. A working vehicle

Well I'll see you all tomorrow Lord willing. Please note there won't be a musical moment this week, I'm taking a break from it this week. I hope you guys have a good night and may God bless you.

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 11

Happy Sunday friends,

On the 10 day of this writing challenge I've been asked to write "Something you always think "What if..." about." I have anxiety. "What ifs..." are a major part of my worries. What if I get into a car accident? What if I have something on my hands that poisons me. What if something happens to my loved ones? It's a life of too many "What ifs..."

Yeah sorry kind of a downer, but it's the truth. I got a lot going in me head. I hope you have a good Sunday and God bless you!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 10

Night salutations my friends,

Day ten of this writing challenge wants me to: "Write about something for which you feel strongly."
Well first off I feel strongly about Jesus giving Himself that I maybe saved. I'm not perferct, and sometimes question, but I'm grateful He did this for us.

Second is I believe strongly in individuality and the ability to express ourselves. I don't like when people try to force people to be like everyone else or people change themselves to try to fit in. I prefer to try to be uniquely me.

I hope you all have a blessed day, always be yourself, and may God bless you!

My Strange Finds: Adventures in the Cold

It's a Strange Saturday Friends,

Well it's only strange cause I'm doing a My Strange Finds post today. The other day Fangirl and I headed out in the snow, which was gone by the time we got back, so nothing to major.  On our journey we came across some interesting things:

1. I noticed at one store a book called How to Deal with Difficult People. I pretty sure it's this one by Paul Friedman. I feel like we all need instructions for this, especially those with jobs where they have to deal with people daily.

2. I'd gone back in the games and kids section when I noticed there was Fullmetal Alchemist mangas and a DVD... IN THE KIDS SECTION! I'm like "Man if parents get that for their kids and don't realize and they all sit to watch it.... What a surprise." Fangirl assures me the parents will check the rating. You know there's people out there who probably don't!

Asheville Mural

3. Came across two geeky cars that collectively represented the  Legend of Zelda, The Walking Dead, Thunder Cats, and Doctor Who fandoms.

4. We also come across three turkeys in a populated area, something I've never seen, but maybe they wanted a bike from the bike shop, or a nice dress.

5. In Asheville I saw a billboard for I guess a dental place with a bearded tooth fairy, complete with a ballerina getup. I thought what a strange type of tooth fairy  till I remembered this is Asheville, of which I probably heard a couple of beard jokes pertaining to, so I'm like no that'd be this city's tooth fairy.

6. At a movie venue we went to above the entrance to the bathrooms was a sign near the ducts that had a ninja on it saying it was a ninja exit. I loved it, I mean come on I am the Ninja Writer, but yes made me smile.

Well that is some of my strange finds for this post. Hope you have a good weekend friends and May God Bless You!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 9

Happy Friday friends,

Day 9 of this writing challenge wants me to: "Post some words of wisdom that speak to you." I have a couple I found.

First from the Bible: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." It's from Philippians 4:13. This is one of my favorite Bible verses. I think it's my Mom's too, back when I was pretty scared to ride in cars cause of my anxiety, and she told me this verse. I actually wrote it on a slip of paper, rolled it up, and put it in a locket that is way too small for pictures so I could literally carry those words with wherever I went.

The next one is "Accept everything about yourself - I mean everything, you are you and that is the beginning and the end - no apologies, no regrets." -Clark Moustakas. That's true God made us as we are and we need to accept and love who we are, believe me I know how hard this can be.

Ok friends I guess that does it for this one. I hope you have a good weekend and may God bless you!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 8

Happy almost Friday friends,

It's day 8 of the writing challenge wants me to "Share something you struggle with."

OOO well apart from my medical problem , I have an issue of internalizing my anger for the most part. I rather clam up than talk my issues till I burst. Yes I know I should deal with issues, but I'm not good at confrontation.

I hope you have a good rest of the week friends, God bless you guys!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 6

Good evening friends,

It's Day 6 of the Writing Challenge which is to list : "Five ways to win your heart." Hmm.... This may take some thinking.

1. Be Nice- Just be a nice person.

2. Be Respectful- Respect me and my loved ones, otherwise I'll drop you quicker than a hot cake.

3. Don't be dominating- I don't go for the alpha macho male type of men.

4. Be Patient and Understanding- I'm probably gonna be shy at first, then you'll discover I'm weird and geeky, and then there's my inner monkey demons, if you endure those things and still like me, then your defiantly winning me over.

5. If your a bit weird yourself- this isn't mandatory but if your a bit a geeky or whatever your weird, within reason, is that may make warm me up to you more.

Well that was easier than I thought. I hope your having a good week friends and enjoying getting to know me better with these post. spread the love and God Bless You!

Musical Moment: Taylor Swift's 1989

Hello Music Loving Friends,

So we have arrived to the final Taylor album in my collection for now. We find Taylor switching genres completely, and sadly because of lack of viewing options I didn't see some of the videos for these songs, though why I never watched them on her website I haven't a clue.

Artist: Taylor Swift
Album: 1989
Released: 2014

Cover:  It's like a CD cover sized Polaroid™ picture with Taylor standing in front of a white wall wearing red lipstick and a purple shirt with seagulls and white sleeves. The top part of her head is cut off. On the bottom on the white frame her initials and the album name appear to be written in black marker.

Booklet: This time we have a Foreword, the word being written with neon purple lights, actually all the song titles are written with lit neon lights. She talks of change, and  speaking of the album title which is her birth year. And she mentions it's the music from that year that inspire the sounds of these songs. I definitely get that late 80's vibe here. She's written in a black pen about her songs being ours now, and in a black marker she signs it off. All the type is in black. And of course her lyrics hold it's usual hidden messages. On the opposite page is another Polaroid™ of Taylor with a line of lyric from Welcome to New York. Written in black marker. Actually the whole booklet theme is neon lights and Polaroids™ . She even includes a photo of I guess one of the writer's Imogene Heap's Keyboard along with her Grammy and tea kettle dated February, 9th 2014. The rest of the photos I'll do with there corresponding song. On the back of the cover is Swift in black, her red lipstick, looking over the back of a white bench I wanna say. The record company name and it's emblem are wrote in pen and a piece of song lyric in marker at the bottom.

Back Cover:  The inside back cover is basically the image on Taylor's shirt from the front cover. The outside back is the upper half of Taylor's head from the front picture. The producers (Max Martin and Taylor Swift, and record company name and logo  is in black pen, every thing else is in a black typed font except the song numbers that appear to have been done in black marker.

The Disk: Is the same design that's on the shirt Taylor wears on the cover. All the words are in white, including Taylor's initials: T.S. and the album title 1989, both which look like they've been done in a white marker.

The Music:

Welcome to New York- Opening is a Swift and Ryan Tedder written piece about New York City. The pic has Taylor in sunglasses, White top and shorts, and I can't make out if it's a jean or leather jacket. She's chilling on looks like a ferry with the New York skyline behind her. I remember when she performed this on Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve. She liked to have froze. What I find interesting is we have a modern artist, writing late 80's style music, yet it takes me back to the late 90's- early 2000's. And if you followed that your awesome. I don't know these song joins a list of other songs and sights that take me back to a certain string of memories; minor events that took place in that stretch of time that seem to be connected somehow.

Blank Space- It's Swift, Max Martin, and Shellback bacvk together again penning a song that I think actually involves a pen. Basically she's found her next lover and is gonna give it a try and how she's got a Blank Space for his name. Every so often she'll sound click her pen to write with it. I'm just wondering as she's describing how it really goes in her relationships?

Style- Is another tune I just picture being played as you go down the road. Swift, Max Martin, Shellback also write this along with Ali Payami. I think this song maybe aluding to two things how their clothes nor their love every is always in style. The photo has looks like Taylor and couple guys (the writers?) It's titles Style. Dated February 19th 2014 and a bit a lyric from Style all in black marker.

Out of the Woods- Swift and Jack Antonoff wrote of well kinda not sure if it's talking about being out of the tough patches of the relationship or being clear of the relationship. I do remember the video had wolves, Taylor running in the woods and finding herself?
All You Had to do Was Stay- Taylor and Max Martin write of guy trying to get back with a girl who he broke up with, and she's not taking him back.

Shake It Off- Wanna guess the trio who wrote it? If you guessed Swift, Martin and Shellback you'd be correct. Perfect advice for all that drama. The pic is of Taylor and her guitar with two other people, one guy holding some white instrument not sure what it is. It's labeled "Feb 15, 2014 Shake it off Max.J-han, Swifty". This song really didn't get a chance for a while with me cause I didn't really get into the video, then Fangirl watched The Hillywood Show's® Supernatural Parody which used a parody of Shake It Off. Before long the orginal song was being played by Fangirl and listening to it without watching the video I really heard it and got to enjoy it. Another song that I feel fit with this song is by a fellow Swifty Todderick Hall called Haterz.

I Wish You Would- We have a Swift and Jack Antonoff creation, of woman wishing she could get back together with the guy. Yet another song I think would be good to play cruising down the road.

Bad Blood- Hey look it's Swift, Martin and Shellback once more writing of the emotional wounds of a particularly bad break up.

Wildest Dreams- Our previously mentioned trio of a woman in a relationship already anticipating the end of it and she hopes he'll remember her. The photo is of Taylor in a nice black dress either on a roof top or port kind hard to tell. There's song lyrics written below.

How You Get the Girl- The trio yet again on how you can get the girl back, who's heart you broke.

This Love- Solo penned Swift song of a love that was let go and it found it's way back to her. The image is of Taylor in yellow looking top and blue skirt looking out a window onto a city street. It includes some song lyrics.

I Know Places- I feel like this Swift and Ryan Tedder song is like a celebrity couple trying to escape the public and paparazzi, that's my interpretation of it. The pic has a man and women, the writers? It's got written "Jan 22 2014 I know places.

Clean- Swift and Imogen Heap pen a song of getting clean from a relationship, like some kind of drug. The picture is the writers with the words "2014 Imogen + Me "Clean" Feb 9".

Extra Bits: The CD comes in a box that's designed to mirror the design of the front and back covers. Included in this box with the CD is a little gold sleeve That has in white letters done like a lit neon, like the booklet, that says Photos then written in black marker is written "from Taylor". Inside is a set of "Polaroids™ " Taylor took, some are inside the booklet, I got numbers 14 through 26 according to Shineon media there was 65 to collect.

So we close the Taylor segment of my collection. You have any particular favorite songs from this album or memories, tell me in me comments. I hope you have a good week friends and God Bless!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 5

Happy Monday Friends,

It's Day Five of this Writing Challenge. Today the want you to: "List 5 places you want to visit." Let's peruse some of my bucket list for inspiration.

1. UK and Ireland- They right there and part of Ireland is in the UK so I'm adding it together, I had to do a Google search to refresh my memory of which countries were in the UK. But yeah I want to go so many places in this part of the world. Visit places with ties to the Arthur legends, to go to London, Cardiff, Claddaugh, Loch Ness, the ruins of the Scottish estate my ancestors might have called home, I'm not 100% sure of this yet that's still maybe. Yes lots I wanna do across the pond. I may need a couple long trips to this area. I would love to at least to go to Ireland and take my Dad, he doesn't know why, but it's like the Emerald Isle calls to him.

2. Pacific Northwest- I want go to the city of Seattle, for one thing it's the setting of one of my favorite movies 10 Things I Hate About You. I have a a list a things I wanna do in this city alone, like go to Beth's Cafe and the Archie McPhee's® Store. Gotta visit the city of Portland, and go to the Original Voodoo Doughnut shop. I also want to go to Port Townsend in this neck of the states and catch a presntation by the Chrismans, their the couple who live a Victorian life style.

3. New Orleans- I wanna go to this place at least twice, once during Mardi Gras and again when it's not. I just wanna explore this place.

4. Florida- Mainly for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Disney World, I've never got to go :(, and then go to Key West maybe.

5. Nashville, Tennessee- I had dreams of traveling to Music City once upon a time, but dreams change, still I'd like to go here have closure and visit places I've been wanting see.

There's some of the places in this world I have been wanting to go, I know some are domestic, but I haven't had the privilege of extensive traveling. Just means I still got things to look forward to. I hope you have a good day friends, and God Bless You!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 4

Blessed Sunday my friends,

The topic of the writing challenge's 4th day is: "Write about someone who inspires you." I have lots of people who inspire me God, Jesus, my family, friends. I'm also inspired by the well known such as Maya Angelou, Dolly Parton, and Shania Twain. But I decided to pick Jewel as my topic of discussion for today.

Why Jewel? When I aspired to get into music once upon a time she inspired me cause she was a singer/songwriter, while I am still  inspired by her music I'm also inspired by the fact she's a poet and observer of her world, given I find myself observing and when inspiration strikes writing poetry. Some of her life mirrors mine: we've both had rural upbringings, we're both Geminis, and we've endured similar hardships. I have read were she's dealt with issues like her anxiety and now tries to help people with like problems.

Back in 2001 after 9/11 happened and I was still in a state of anxiety, my voice teacher was having the Captain and me learn Christmas songs. She chose artists I guess who she felt our vocals were suited for. The Captain was to learn Mariah Carey and I got Jewel. I listened to the album and heard the Christmas version of Hands. The lyrics of that song were comforting words in that dark time.
So yeah, Jewel has been a bit of guidance off and on in my life, a very inspiring person to me, among the many others. So I throw this question back to the readers: "Who are you inspired by?" Let me know in the comments.
I hope you have a good day friends and may God bless you and inspire you!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 3

It's Saturday Friends!

It's also the 3rd day of our writing challenge and they ask "What are your top three pet peeves?" So let me lay them on ya:

1. On top of my list would probably be people who try to squash people's individuality. I don't like when people are forced or feel they have to conform to be accepted.

2. I don't like parents to turn their kids into mini adults, I mean their kids let them be kids while they can, now I'm not saying let them go hog wild either, just don't make them into an adult before their time. Also in this group is those parents that push  their children too hard in academics, I mean yeah everyone wants their kids to do well, but not to the point when your kid's in a panic to bring even one "C" home cause they're afraid you'll freak out.

3. Lastly opinionated people, yes we all have opinions, but I'm talking those who are forceful with their opinions, and believe theirs is ultimately right, and yours isn't.

There's three peeves for the third of March. I hope you have a good Saturday and may God bless you!

The Tale of Two Dawns

Good Eaaarly Morning my friends,

Ironically today's tale is of the morn. Given I'm a night owl I seen daylight come a many a time. But I want to share with you two particular dawnings that are etched into my brain.

The Dawn of Childhood
In the days when seeing the dawn come was something that had probably didn't happen often this memory is forever stuck in my mind. This may have been my first time watching dawn come in, certainly the most memorable. It was in the final years of my Dad working, and because of his illness, similar to mine,  it got to the point my Mom had to be nearby most the time, so often times particularly the times Pop had to work the graveyard shift my sister and me were camped out in the camper truck. Well one of these graveyard shifts I guess I'd wanted to see the dawn, I assume my Mom was in the know, I remember being promised M&M's by her, then I took a nap and woke I think when the promised M&M's came, so as I munched on the candy I finished reading this Bobbsey Twins and the Horseshoe Riddle my Mom had given me. I was keeping an eye on the top of the building at end of the street where the dawn would begin.
I'm sure to my child mind watching the first hints of blue infiltrating the night sky was fascinated, then watched as the light grew from behind that building and engulfed the world. My Mom probably forced me to get some zzzz's at some point after that.

Dawn from the Ocean

January 2012 I got to go see the ocean for the first time in my life. Fangirl took me down to Myrtle Beach for a weekend trip. Our last morning there I planned to get up early to watch the sunrise on the ocean. I woke up way too early, so I went to the outer room and watched some Anime. Then I kept watch on the balcony. The butterscotch moon was on it's way to the western horizon, and I saw the faintest hints of red.
As it got a bit more light Fangirl escorted me to the beach before heading back into the hotel. I walked the beach, picked up shells, as the seagulls bothering the jelly fish I kept a distance from. I snapped various pictures of the dawn coming.

Finally it was like the fiery orb broke free of the ocean. I felt like I was one of the first peeps on the continent to be touched by the sun's light that day. It was such and epic sight.

Another dawn if probably approaching, I hope you guys have a great day and remember to take in the beauty in each day. God Bless You!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 2

Happy Friday my friends,

Well it's another day of the Writing Challenge. Today's prompt is: "Write something that someone told you about yourself that you never forgot." Well this may seem superficial, but the answer revolves around me hair, yes me hair.

First let me tell you the tale about my hair. It's frizzy, wild, and destined to swallow a city. My hair has frequently been used when asking strangers if they've seen  me. I think when I was in my teens and college I wasn't crazy about the frizzy mess, I liked the color just not the mess. I mean I wished many times it was more straight, or had cute curls, both I could have achieved maybe with a styling tool, but apparently my hair won't stay styled long. I even tried to use a defrizzing product, it didn't go well. So yes I probably added it to the list of things I wanted to change about myself. I actually think it maybe  reflecting the crap going on inside my head the illnesses and all the thoughts running around up there.

With all that in mind I can move forward to the day my mind got changed about my locks. I think I was in college when the Captain still lived in Asheville and she decided to take my sister and me to this New Age type store she'd gone into. The woman at the counter, probably the owner, looked at my hair and said something along the lines of how she loved how wild and free my hair was. I'd never saw my hair in that way before, and since then because of those words I've come to love a part of me better.

Actually here recently Jewel shared an old video where she does a "Hair Brain Monologue" during a live tapping for her first CD, it kinda fits with this whole idea I guess.
I hope you always know your beautiful friends, and may God always bless you!

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 1

Hello My Friends,

Welcome to the start of the 30 Day Writing Challenge! As I mentioned yesterday I'm gonna be doings this challenge I found on Pinterest, shared by 3 a.m. Sunshine.

So Day One's prompt for this  30 Day Writing Challenge is: "List 10 Things that make you really happy."

1. God/Jesus- God brought me into this world, decided the world needed a me. His Son willing sacrificed Himself to save us, to give us hope and joy, and peace. I'm not going to lie I don't always feel joy and happiness as I should when it comes to these two, but that maybe due to the emotional scars I suffered from my early anxiety battles as a child . All that aside they belong at the top of this list, cause they are the source of a lasting joy and when you think about all the reason for the existence of the other happy inducing things on this list.

2. Family/Friends- I put these two together because I have friends who are very much part of my family. This includes the pets as well. My peeps have brought me joy in life, and sorrow and anger, but that's true of many things in life, and not the point of this post.

3. Sunny Days- I love beautiful sunny days when the sky is brilliant blue, hence why sky blue is my favorite shade a blue.

4. Night Skies- I love a night with brilliant stars, a lovely moon, and maybe a meteor shower. I also love nights when Orion is hanging out. Sadly the most beautiful night skies occur in the winter, and I don't fancy frostbite.

5. Bubbles- Yes I said bubbles. If I feel down I can grab a bottle or whatever start blowing bubbles and it lifts my soul. Paired with the a fore mentioned Sunny Day, it's a winning combo.

6. Car Rides- Sometimes I just enjoy a good ride, maybe with some music on, and good company.

7. Music- Nothing can lift your mood than jamming out to a good song, preferably a happy song. My taste is broad Country, Christian, Pop, Rock, you get the picture.

8. Doctor Who- I love this show! Yes the feels kill you, but I love it. I see a Tardis or something related to the show when I'm out it's like I'm an excited Pinkie Pie (for you uninitiated that's a My Little Pony Character).

9. Chocolate?- I do love chocolate. What I'm running out of ideas on what's making me happy.

10. A Good Book Ending?- I'm really stretching.

Well that kinda proved to be a little tough.  May it's because of my ever changing mind  plus depression/anxiety, I guess it makes it hard in some cases hard to decide on what makes me happy. Or may maybe it's cause I never really thought about it before? Whelp I did the best I could. :P Have a good March my friends and may God bless you.
